Ultratite-Type NM 1/2-Inch Flexible Conduit, Gray

The Ultratite-Type NM 1/2-Inch Non-Metallic Liquid tight Flexible Conduit, also known as Liquid tight Flexible Nonmetallic Conduit, is a UL/CSA Listed product that is oil-resistant, sunlight-resistant, and crush-resistant. It has a temperature rating of -30-Degree C to 80-Degree C.

This conduit is manufactured with a spiral of rigid PVC reinforcement imbedded within a flexible PVC wall, making it suitable for the installation and protection of electrical conductors in circuits of 600-Volt nominal or less. It can be used in various applications, including motor circuits, conductors of motor feeders, branch and control circuits, and areas requiring movement, crossover connections, or tight bends.

The Ultratite Type NM conduit is approved for direct burial and encasement in concrete, as well as for flexible connections to swimming pool, spa, and hot tub motors, as per NEC 680.21A3 and 680.42A1. It can also be used for electric signs and outline lighting supply and secondary-circuit conductors, as per NEC 600.7, 600.311000-Volt or less, and 600.32 over 1000-Volt.

In hazardous locations, the Ultratite Type NM conduit can be used for flexible connections within hazardous locations in accordance with the following: Class I, Div. 2-NEC 501.10B2; Class II, Div. 1-NEC 502.10A2; Class II, Div. 2-NEC 502.10B2; Class III, Div. 1-NEC 503.10A2; and Class III, Div. 2-NEC 503.10B.

Additionally, the Ultratite Type NM conduit is approved for use in floating building feeders and services per NEC 553.7, boatyards and marinas in accordance with NEC 555.13, cranes and hoists in accordance with NEC 610.11C, and for elevator, dumbwaiter, escalator, moving walk, wheel chair lift, and stairway chair lift applications where expressly permitted by NEC 620.21.

The conduit is also approved for use under raised floors in information technology equipment conductors and cables, in accordance with NEC 645.5 D and 645.5D2, and for the containment of 600-Volt and lower potential circuits. It is approved for use in lengths longer than 6-Feet per NEC 356.105 and for motor leads per NEC 430.145B.

The Ultratite Type NM conduit has a smooth interior for easy wire pulling and is UV sunlight resistant, with a temperature range of -30-Degree C to 80-Degree C (-22-DegreeF to +176-DegreeF) and a 60-Degree C Oil rating. It seals out water, liquids, abrasives, alcohol, coolants, corrosive fumes and gases, grease, mineral acids, petroleum oils, salt air, and spray, and accepts standard liquid-tight fittings for use with LFNC-B.

This conduit is ideal for wet and outdoor locations, as well as for direct burial applications.
